In short: China is the global leader in mushroom cultivation, with deep-rooted traditions and expertise built over thousands of years. It’s estimated that 80-90% of worlds medicinal mushrooms origin from China. They simply know how to do it the best.

We use dual extraction — both water and alcohol — to get the full spectrum of active compounds. Our potent 20:1 ratio means 20g of dried mushroom becomes 1g of pure extract. Final packing and processing takes place in South Estonia under strict HACCP standards.

When it comes to functional mushrooms, extracts are essential. Simply eating raw or powdered mushrooms — even if they’re labeled as “extracts” — won’t give you meaningful benefits. That’s because most active compounds are locked inside tough chitin cell walls, which the human body can’t easily break down.

To release those bioactive ingredients, proper hot water extraction is needed. This process breaks down the chitin and makes key compounds, like beta-glucans, available to your body. We go a step further by also using alcohol extraction to draw out additional beneficial compounds and remove unnecessary ones.

This dual-extraction method results in highly concentrated, effective extracts — unlike many products on the market that skip these steps and still call themselves “extracts.”

The functional mushroom market is growing fast — but not all products meet high quality standards. We test to ensure that every product we offer is both safe and truly effective.

Each batch goes through rigorous quality control to check for heavy metals, pesticides, and microbiological contamination. In addition, we verify the potency of our extracts — such as beta-glucan content and key active compounds — in independent third-party laboratories in Europe and the US.

Beta-glucan is a healthy fiber. For example, soluble fiber increases the time that food passes through the intestine, slows down the emptying of the stomach and the absorption of glucose into the blood. This means that your stomach will not be empty so quickly and the body can release energy in a stable manner.

While our mushrooms are grown sustainably, our extracts are not currently certified organic by the EU or USDA. It’s important to understand that organic certification does not always guarantee product quality or safety — especially when it comes to mushrooms.

Mushrooms naturally absorb heavy metals from their environment, and organic certification does not include testing for those. In fact, USDA and similar certifications rely mostly on paperwork. If a farm can show they avoid certain pesticides, they can be certified — even without any lab testing of the final product.

There may be one on-site inspection per year, but no lab equipment or chemical analysis is involved. That’s why an organic stamp can be more about marketing than actual safety.

Many brands highlight the USDA Organic logo while skipping key quality indicators — like the presence of active compounds or levels of heavy metals. A product can be certified organic and still contain contaminants if it hasn’t been properly tested.

That’s why we do things differently. We publish full lab reports for every batch, conducted by ISO-certified Eurofins laboratories. These tests show exactly what’s in our extracts – so you can make an informed choice based on facts, not just labels.
